Healthcare facilities and professionals are scrambling to ready themselves for the expected rise in COVID19 patients that are predicted to enter the healthcare system within the next couple of weeks. It is with this in mind, that SAHPRA has issued a warning about the risk of sub-standard or falsified products, including PPE’s, diagnostic tests, medicines and medical devices.

There is a real risk that these products may be misused or used inappropriately, which is of great concern to both healthcare workers and the public alike.
