10 Dec HEARTBEAT: CHRIS HANI BARAGWANATH ACADEMIC HOSPITAL, JOHANNESBURG, GAUTENG
With the global pandemic hitting South Africa hard, local government hospital Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic expanded its bed capacity with the addition of a new 500-bed Covid-19 section. Divided into twenty Clusters, each Cluster consists of 25 beds, with Hutz Hospi-Tec supplying HU10-01 Bedhead Service Systems and HUGO-LED medical examination lights for the project.
Clusters 1-4 have been handed over and are currently being equipped by the client, while Clusters 5 to 14 have been installed, bringing the total numbers of completed HU10-01 units to 400. These are currently being inspected and prepared for being handed over to the client. The outstanding Clusters will be completed early in the first quarter of 2021.
