20 Aug HEARTBEAT: HOSPITAL STAFF THANKED THROUGH MUSIC
Activity at a hospital in Warsaw recently came to a halt when a Polish opera singer moved doctors and nurses to tears when he turned up at their hospital and belted out a powerful rendition of the famous Puccini aria Nessun Dorma.
Accompanied by the Medicantus Medical Doctors’ Choir, tenor Leszek Świdziński from the Polish Royal Opera serenaded medical workers who gathered at the hospital’s windows to watch the performance.
One of Giacomo Puccini’s best-known pieces, the aria from the opera Turandot climaxes with the soaring proclamation: “I will win! I will win! I will win!”, which is considered by many viewers to be a fitting rallying cry in the battle against coronavirus.
We invite you to click on the link to see this beautiful rendition and tribute to the hospital staff.
At Hutz, we salute all the healthcare workers and support staff who are working tirelessly in their efforts to curb the spread of Covid19.
We would also like to thank our employees, suppliers and customers for all their support over these challenging times.
